Back Yard Changes

We've had some changes in our back yard since Christmas. Our neighbor approached us about some trees on his property but our side of the dividing fence. The trees were showing signs of decay, and there was some concern that if they fell they would damage either their house or ours. While the workmen were here to take down the agreed-to trees, others were found to need to go - either because of decay or because they would be knocked down when the big ones were taken. Here are some photos I took soon after the day they were here. It took almost 1 1/2 days to get it all done.

This is not the time of year to do grass seeding or sodding, so the landscaper will come back in March to make the yard prettier. We also plan to get a tree to replace the one by the garage that was taken.

The back yard is finally ready for us to build that half-pipe we've been talking about... I think I've still got a "Thrasher" do-it-yourself guide somewhere...

Damn--it looks totally different! Are there any trees left?

OK, so maybe I should take some pictures showing the rest of the yard. These just show the changes. The only tree that wasn't right by the fence line was the one by the garage. I'll get a view from Madison showing the whole back.

I also have been meaning to get one of the front flower beds, because the landscapers replaced the landscape timber with brick, like in the back, and it really looks nice. It'll look even nicer with some flowers in it, but you can use your imagination!
